2010 Columbus Survey Results: Guideposts Point to Growth
What changes in assets, gifts, and grants did community foundations experience in 2010 given the economic recovery?
“Guideposts Point to Growth” (PDF, 937 KB) is an analysis of 2010 data gathered through the Columbus Survey. The report offers a resource to understand the performance of your individual organization in the context of the field. Trends in assets, gifts, and grants are the focal point of the analysis.
Survey findings show that the average community foundation in 2010 grew assets by 13%, compared to 2009’s 12% decline in assets. Gifts and grants are also up among community foundations, and the inflow of gifts once again exceeds the outflow of grant funds, a relationship that was reversed in 2009. CF Insights thanks the 250+ community foundations that shared timely 2010 data for this analysis.
